The Strength Training Sensors,
we are building right now

Five motion sensors, four housed in knee or elbow sleeves plus one on the torso, will capture joint angles, left and right symmetry, and rep to rep form consistency. Sensor-verified, not self-reported. We are currently testing our v3.1 prototypes. Korvi wearable sensors are expected to launch commercially on Kickstarter in January 2027.

Your Strength Training Questions, answered

The things people ask us most about tracking strength training.

How do you track progressive overload?

Progressive overload just means doing a bit more over time, whether that is weight, reps or sets. Korvi keeps your full training history for every exercise, so you can see the trend for each lift rather than trying to remember what you did three weeks ago. Log your sets and the progression takes care of itself.

When should you increase the weight?

The usual rule is to add weight once you can complete every prescribed rep with a couple left in the tank. Korvi works this out for you from what you actually logged, using your reps, your weight and the effort you tagged each set with, then tells you when a lift is ready to go up. It is calculated from your own inputs, not a fixed template.

What is the best way to log workouts?

Whatever you will actually stick to. In practice that means fast entry and a library big enough that you are not inventing exercise names. Korvi has over 150 exercises, remembers your last weights and reps for each one, and lets you tag effort as you go, so a full session takes a few taps rather than a notes app full of scribbles.

How do you track gym progress properly?

Bodyweight and how you feel are noisy. What actually shows progress is your logged work over time: the load on the bar, the reps you got and how hard they felt. Korvi turns that into a training history per exercise and an overall training score, so you can see whether you are moving forward across weeks rather than guessing session to session.

How do you measure muscle fatigue?

Korvi builds a fatigue bodymap from the volume you have logged and how recently you trained each area. Muscle groups you have hammered show as still recovering, and ones you have not trained in a while show as ready. It is a training-load picture built from your own sessions, and it is there to help you plan your week, not to diagnose anything.

Why do fitness trackers struggle with weights?

Most wearables were designed around steps and heart rate, which work well for running and poorly for lifting. A wrist sensor cannot see the bar, so sets get logged as vague activity. Korvi starts from strength training instead: you log the work, and the app is built around sets, reps, load and recovery rather than calories and cardio zones.

Is the Korvi app free?

Yes, completely. Every feature in the app is free on iPhone and Android with no paywall, no premium tier and no card required. We would rather have you training with us while we build the sensors than charging you for the app.

What will the Korvi sensors do?

The sensors are still in development and are not expected before January 2027, with a Kickstarter planned for Q1 2027. The plan is five small motion sensors, two on each of a pair of knee or elbow sleeves plus one on the torso, capturing joint angles, left and right symmetry and how consistent your form stays from rep to rep.
